“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

– African Proverb.

The Indaba Foundation plays a pivotal role in developing a variety of progressive partnerships that re-engineers the relationship between industry & community to empower low-income women, underserved children, and overlooked communities in the Cape Winelands.

We work with local and international Education and Research partners, Community-Based Organisations, the Wine Industry, the South African Government, and leading role players in the Early Childhood Development community to address racial inequality, encourage economic and social empowerment and support community-driven transformation in the Cape Winelands. Together, we create infrastructure and long-term support that empowers individuals, particularly low-income women, to become community shapers.

We believe that these challenges can only be tackled through a collaborative coalition, and investing in a turn-key Early Childhood Development investment solution that transforms the teacher, empowers the child, and enables communities to positively shape their own futures. With this firmly in mind, the Indaba Foundation has contextualized and pioneered a new approach that enables our partners to be a part of fundamental social change, individual empowerment, and economic upliftment.

The vast majority of research shows that disadvantaged children who receive quality early childhood development have much better education, employment, social, and health outcomes as adults. Our economic future depends on providing the tools for upward mobility and building a highly educated, skilled workforce. Early childhood education is the most efficient way to accomplish these goals.
